Tasting notes
Mid crimson. Powerful scent of ripe fruit which subsequently spreads across the palate. Doubt doth not assail Gouges. Very solid, though not yet ready to drink. (JR)

Good deep red. Complex, expressive nose hints at redcurrant, tobacco, spices, pepper and herbs. Dense, sweet and highly concentrated, with terrific spicy depth for the vintage. This young and nuanced wine offers superb breadth and length, filling the retronasal passage with spicy perfume.
Very good deep red. Tight, high-pitched aromas of ripe black cherry, minerals and sexy spices. Sweet and lush, with the silky texture and depth of flavor of a grand cru. This opens out and builds impressively on the back half, finishing with very fine tannins in the context of the vintage. Very classy juice, and an outstanding performance for the year.
