Tasting notes
Moderately saturated medium red. Attractive floral lift to the aromas of redcurrant, mocha and spices. Supple cherry and red berry flavors are framed and carried by nicely integrated acidity. This juicy, penetrating Nuits-Saint-Georges shows a restrained sweetness and finishes with fine-grained, dusty tannins and attractive lingering perfume. Good subtle intensity here in a light, lively wine.

Full ruby-red. Pure but reticent aromas of blackberry, black cherry and dark chocolate. Lively acidity energizes the middle palate, giving cut to the cherry and saline flavors; ultimately more red than black in style. Nicely concentrated, firmly tannic and long. Strong material here.
The 2014 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Corvée Pagets includes around 50% to 60% whole bunch fruit that was picked early, due to an attack of fruit flies. It has a light, slightly earthy bouquet that feels harmonious and slightly floral. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry, brisk acidity with a slightly short finish. I think it suffers from just a lack of material this year.
