2010 Westhofener Kirchspiel Trocken

Tasting notes
This has a slightly smoky/mineral note but very little actual development – ie there is still pure, rather gentle citrus aromas, lemon and grapefruit, and the merest hint of honey being the small sign that this is more than six years old. High acidity giving precision and freshness but as I often find with Keller's wines, and especially on the Kirchspiel, there is a delicacy and gentleness that almost makes you think it is soft on the finish, perhaps rounded rather than soft. Long and in perfect harmony.

Elegant aromas of apricot pit, lemon oil and pine nuts. Crisp and fresh, with noteworthy nerve, poise and balance. Salty minerality and penetrating spices carry the finish. Very refined and eminently drinkable.
