2009 Nuits St Georges Les Pruliers

The 2009 Nuits St.-Georges Les Pruliers is beginning to shut down in bottle. There is plenty of precision and delineation in the glass, but the tannins are rather imposing today. With time in the glass some of the wine’s inner perfume emerges, but it is quite clear that time is the only missing ingredient. Readers will need to be patient. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. These five 2009s all met or exceeded my expectations based on what I tasted from barrel during my last visit. Over the last few years there has been no shortage of fabulous wines in this cellar.
