Tasting notes
The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Aux Champs Perdrix is a debut release and consists of just two barrels from 0.15 hectares at the top of the hill (above La Tâche to be exact) that will be bottled only in magnums. It has a crisp, leafy, slightly earthy bouquet, well defined with loamy scents coming through with time. The palate is very harmonious on the entry with dark cherry fruit, touches of blackcurrant, undergrowth and a dash of black pepper on the finish. The altitude of the vineyard lends this the natural acidity to counter the warmth of the growing season and it marks a fine debut.
