Good medium red. A sexy truffle note adds interest to the aromas of raspberry and cherry, with hints of herbs and mint providing lift. Juicy and sweet in the mouth, showing very good cut to the red fruit, crushed stone and mint flavors. Finishes with dusty, building tannins and brisk lingering fruit. Strong mineral energy throughout.

The 2013 Vosne Romanée La Combe Brûlée, a vineyard based on Premeaux limestone soil, has a clean and fresh, quite floral bouquet that opens nicely in the glass with fine precision. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit, fine mineralité and great tension on the finish. Feminine and for want of a better word–delicious!
(from south-facing 85-year-old vines planted on fossilized calcaire in a cold combe ): Bright medim red. Lovely cool perfume to the aromas of raspberry, redcurrant and flowers. Juicy but a bit youthfully folded in on itself, with a strong acid spine currently dominating the brisk flavors of crushed stone and flowers. But there's plenty of underlying intensity and density here, not to mention lovely length. This will need a few years of patience.
