Tasting notes
Very juicy and sweet. Lots of fun with an undertow of chestnuts (as I so often find in Barthod wines). Still chewy.

The more deeply pitched nose is also attractively fresh, ripe and relatively elegant offers up notes of dark cherry, plum and violets. The dense, sappy and delicious middle weight flavors are supported by firm tannins and excellent mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a serious, austere and impressively persistent finish. This is textbook Baudes and clearly built-to-age.
Bright medium red. High-pitched aromas of red fruits, mint, menthol and spices. Juicy, pure and on the lean side, showing a penetrating quality and firm minerality to the flavors of red fruits, flowers and spices. Classically dry, perfumed, firmly structured Chambolle with fine-grained tannins and lovely aromatic persistence.
