Medium red. Lovely perfumed aromas of strawberry, raspberry and brown spices, with strong oaky high tones. A distinct step up in intensity and cut over the normale, showing complex flavors of red plum, redcurrant, dried flowers and smoky minerality. Suave, juicy and flavorful but not outsized, this Barolo finishes with fine-grained, oak-driven tannins that call for three or four years of patience.

Just mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. Gripping, sweet strawberry fruit. Very slow but steady developing aromas on the finish. Huge length. (WS)
