2023 Vosne Romanee Beaumonts

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux-Monts 1er Cru is more backward on the nose, with earthy black fruit laced with pencil box and dried leaf aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy texture on the opening. Black plum and boysenberry fruit are quite rounded in texture—this just needs more precision to develop on the finish. It does have an attractive peppery aftertaste. This will be interesting to revisit after four or five years.
