Score 87/100 · Drink 2023-2030, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Apr 2021
The 2018 Liaison blends the fruit from 60+-year-old vines from sandstone and limestone soils. The wine opens intense yet with volatile and oaky dark and sweet fruit (cherry) aromas. Pure and fresh on the palate, this is a medium-bodied, tight, straight and fresh Pinot with grip and concentration yet no finesse or elegance. It's quite rustic at this early stage but with lots of flesh and concentration, so this might get better. 12.5% alcohol. Tasted in November 2020.
