Tasting notes
This makes a good argument for why Vosne-Romanée gained a unique reputation for red wines within Burgundy. Deep and very subtle nose, in which the red-fruit aromas are beautifully intertwined with delicate earthy and spicy notes. Very sophisticated tannins that are matched by subtle, lemony freshness that lifts up the long finish. Drink or hold.

This apparently contains some wine from the Chaumes Premier Cru. Final blend in tank, to be bottled by mid February 2021. Pale to mid crimson. Racy and lively with some bitter, chewy notes. Just a tad stodgy – and there is some definite dryness on the end. No shortage of acidity. (JR)
