Score 91-93/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2023
The 2021 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru shows promise, unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark wild berries, vine smoke, spices and plums. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and muscular, with sweet tannins and an enveloping core of fruit, it shows the extent of this estate's recent progress.

About the producer

Henri Rebourseau
Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, this domaine has a long history and impressive vineyards (with over five hectares of Grand Cru), but has long been considered an under-performer. Today, however, the Bouygues brothers (of Montrose and Clos Rougeard) have taken ownership and change is afoot.
