Finely scented black fruit. Pure and rather silky but not for the long term. (JH)

Good dark red. Pure, vibrant aromas of black cherry, minerals and licorice lifted by violet; shows a rather Burgundian tang. Sweet, juicy and on the light side, but with noteworthy delicacy to its cherry, mint and mineral flavors. Finishes with rather suave tannins and good length. Subtle and aromatic wine.

Very ripe on the nose with good mellow fruit and just slightly too little acidity. Though no shortage of slightly green tannins. Not bad at all! Cool and low key but a nicely balanced drink. A little severe on the finish. (JR)
