Tasting notes
Offering up notes of raspberries, petals and gentian, the 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Plantes is medium-bodied, lively and taut, it concludes with a discreetly stemmy finish that depresses my score.

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Plantes 1er Cru contains 50% whole bunch, a little more than other Premier Crus. It has a more classically styled bouquet with the stems shaping the aromatics at the moment. There are white pepper and tertiary scents, with a touch of autumn leaves on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe blood orange-tinged entry and modest depth. It's grainy in texture, with just a touch of reduction toward the finish. There's good sustain on the aftertaste—very fine.
