Tasting notes
The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Aux Beaux Bruns exhibits notes of sweet red berries, orange zest, spices and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy plate, concluding with a licorice-inflected finish. This early-ripening site has put in a strong performance this year.

From vines planted in 1985. 80% whole bunch, pedicels only. Cask sample. Medium ruby. Sweet, concentrated fruit (cherry, strawberry) from millerandé fruit – small, concentrated berries. Excellent balance and very gourmand – open and approachable. (MH)
The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Aux Beaux Bruns 1er Cru comes from a warm mesoclimate and was vinified with 80% whole bunch with the central stem removed. This has a clean, precise and focused bouquet with cranberry and wild strawberry fruit, hints of undergrowth manifesting with time in the glass. Taut and fresh, the palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a core of sensual red berry fruit and lovely mineralité on the persistent finish. Quintessential Chambolle-Musigny.
