Tasting notes
One of the lighter red crimson colours, a red fruit nose, some strawberry, though not saline in the mouth until the very end, plenty of fruit filling the mouth, perhaps less delicacy and detail. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Nov 2024.

Cask sample. Mid ruby. Red and black fruits on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied with good concentration and salty mineral finish. Moderate, fresh acidity. Very early for this youthful expression of Échezeaux Grand Cru. (MH)
The 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a crisp and mineral bouquet, with blackcurrant, wild strawberry fruit and a touch of chalk dust developing in the glass. This has superb delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins. It's a tensile Echézeaux, surfeit with mineralité , leading to a cohesive and persistent finish that exudes class. This is one of the best wines you will find from the Grand Cru.
