Glowing purple. The bouquet has ebullient red fruit which refines in the mouth. Two-thirds red fruit with some blacker notes behind. Rather more tannins here, which is entirely reasonable, and adequate acidity. A fine wine requiring just a nuance of sensitivity to provide the full sense of magic that Chambertin can offer.
