In bottle. A mix of fruit from Domaine Drouhin-Vaudon and their neighbour. Pale lemon yellow. Pale colour, only a light plum fruit with fresh white peach, saline too, medium -bodied, iodine at the finish. No wood used.
Bottled on 16 July 2024. Almost no nose. Strait-laced, modest, so self-effacing it feels as if it’s held within itself. Very slight lime-pith bitterness. Overall, though, a gentle wine, gentle finish. (TC)
The 2023 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru has a citrus-fresh nose with touches of lime and a little chai. The palate is balanced with a slightly oily texture, fine acidity, moderate complexity and a touch of bell pepper on the finish. Fine.
