Tasting notes
The 2015 Echézeaux Grand Cru has quite an intense nose: black and red fruit laced with soy and even a touch of salted licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin. This is a masculine, slightly broad-shouldered Echézeaux, the acidity well judged but it needs to demonstrate more finesse and precision on the finish to match the best of its peers.

Much, much bluer than the other wines from this producer. Pure nose with some freshness. But overall a bit rosy and definitely sweet. All pleasure…! But a bit of a guilty pleasure because of the sweetness. Verging on sickliness. (JR)
About the producer

Domaine René Bouvier is a truly exciting estate in Marsannay – and one of a handful of properties bringing greater attention to a village once best known for its rosé.
