Score 88/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2020
The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Vieilles Vignes has a taut, gravelly bouquet that is focused and well delineated, touches of green apple and just a hint of petrol emerging with time (possibly a trait of this warm summer.) The palate is well balanced with a waxy texture. It does not quite possess the joie-de-vivre of the Chassagne-Montrachet, although there is decent length and a touch of salinity on the aftertaste. Fine. - Neal Martin
