Score 90-93/100 · Drink 2001-2013, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2001
The sweet cherry syrup and cookie dough-scented 1999 Echezeaux (domaine) is medium to dark ruby-colored. Medium-bodied and highly expressive, this is a fresh, pure, and delineated wine. Tangy cherries and raspberries are found throughout its boisterous personality as well as in its admirably long, sweet, and supple finish. It is concentrated, deep, and gorgeously ripe. Drink it over the next 12 years. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; tel. (212) 490-9300.
