Tasting notes
The Sesta di Sopra 2014 Brunello di Montalcino offers a great level of intensity and fullness that was not always easy to achieve in this vintage. This mid-weight wine is the result of skillful winemaking efforts for sure. Dark cherry and cassis segue to spice, aniseed, grilled herb and barbecue smoke. The wine ages in large oak casks for three years. Some 4,000 bottles were made. You have to admire these promising results.

Just mid ruby. A little stalky but otherwise not much of a nose. Lightweight palate with sweet, fragrant fruit. Could do with a bit more weight and depth. (WS)
This has some lighter maraschino cherry aromas with a fresh, supple palate that delivers light red-fruit flavors in easygoing style. Ready now.
