Brunello di Montalcino

Vineyards around the hilltop town of Montalcino produce exquisite expressions of Sangiovese, made with the local clone Brunello. The wines fall under the Brunello di Montalcino appellation and are some of Tuscany’s most exciting, often compared to the finest wines from Chianti Classico.

About Brunello di Montalcino

It is one of Italy’s most coveted and long-lived wines, but fame has come late to the hilltop town of Montalcino in Tuscany. Unless you were in the know, it was off the radar until its wines and beauty were discovered by overseas wine buyers in the 1970s.
