The 2020 Chapelle-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a beautifully defined bouquet, touches of basalt/crushed rock permeating the red fruit, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a lilting and silky smooth Chapelle-Chambertin that expands and exerts more grip towards the finish, a touch of white pepper lingering on the aftertaste. Great potential.
