Drink 0-0, Neal Martin, May 2023
The 2002 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Monts Luisants Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru has more freshness than the 2007, with dried honey and grilled walnut scents, more like a Jura than a Burgundy. The palate is slightly bitter on the entry. There's sharp acidity, and again, it's rather oxidative with a saline finish. This is a vexing showing.
