Tasting notes
The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint Georges (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up notes of plums, orange rind, warm spices and sweet berry fruit. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's demonstrative, even dramatic in style this year, with a gourmand core of fruit and ripe structuring tannins. I suspect this will show well straight out of the gates.

The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru is precocious on the nose, the upfront, bold macerated small cherries mingling with raspberry jam and elderberry. The palate is all about texture, velvety smooth and very plush, but at the moment the oak completely covers the terroir expression, and I would like to see more complexity and tension on the finish. More terroir needs to come through.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
