Tasting notes
The 2022 Tumba del Rey Moro is very spicy (ras el hanout) and a little more Mediterranean than the more Atlantic 2023 I tasted next to it. There was a good crop, which helped to balance the wine, and it was given one extra winter in concrete after aging in foudre. Since 2020, they have managed 100% of the viticulture of the vineyard, and there has been an increase in the precision and subtleness of the wine. The tannins have a little more grip, more than what you usually find in the vineyards of Villanueva. 1,956 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2025.
