Tasting notes
Bright ruby-red. Blackberry, kirsch , bitter chocolate and sexy oak on the nose; at once candied and fresh. Creamy and seamless in the mouth, with a deep kernel of dark berry and violet flavor to support the flamboyant oak element. The broad finish offers a fine dusting of tannins and lingering dark berry sweetness. A lot of wine for the price.

The 2009 Malbec Reserva received the same elevage as the Cabernet. Inviting aromas of balsam wood, lavender, underbrush, a hint of truffle, and black cherry lead to a ripe, plush, layered, Malbec with excellent balance and length. Drink this excellent value from 2012 to 2019. Importer: Moet-Hennessey USA, New York, NY; tel. (212) 251-8329
Reticent but with savory flavors, good depth, and moderate length.
