2017 Ribolla Gialla

Enzo Pontoni's 2017 Friuli Colli Orientali Ribolla Gialla Pettarin presents a precise and focused expression of this native northern Italian grape. In its most natural state, such as you encounter here, Ribolla Gialla offers clear intensity with a bouquet that is fully loaded with exotic fruit, apricot and fragrant yellow rose. The wine hits the palate with a medium-weight style that almost appears full-bodied when you calculate the lasting effects of the wine's impressive consistency. This wine ages in oak for 11 months (with 12.5% alcohol). Production is extremely limited with only 1,500 bottles made.
