AP number 24 24. Stony lemon citrus with a hint of white blossom. Pretty aroma leads to more power on the palate. Direct, refined, dry but full of pure fruit. A light grip, perfect balance with an impression of fruit sweetness on the finish. (JH)

The 2023 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Grosses Gewächs surrounds the Sonnenuhr, taking in the whole slope from top to bottom. Aromatic citrus trumps the slight reduction on the nose with a teasing suspicion of grapefruit among the ripe lemon. The palate is juicy and vivid with a scented, almost creamy citrus brightness. Really fine, almost weightless and totally joyful. Rounded ripeness of aroma defines this in all its slenderness.
Filigreed touch of lemon curd. Equal parts racy and refined, with a deep, creamy concentration. Elegant phenolics, nuanced and long. A serious Riesling, still deep in its REM sleep, with much power and potential ahead. (PS)
