Tasting notes
Bright ruby-red. Captivating perfume of black fruits, rose petal, violet, crushed rocks and earth. Densely packed and powerful, with terrific energy and finesse to the sweet flavors of blueberry, blackberry, cherry, licorice and minerals. Boasts outstanding grand cru volume and density and yet the lingering impression on the aftertaste is one of energy and refinement. This should enjoy a long and glorious evolution in bottle.

Bright ruby-red. Deep, spicy nose. Lush on entry, then dense and fine-grained, with serious volume leavened by spicy oak and violet. This saturates the entire palate without coming across as the least bit heavy. Wonderfully broad, fat and sweet on the back, finishing with superb aromatic persistence. The Humberts planned to bottle these 2005s in January or February.
