The 2014 Barolo Cannubi holds its own; it's bold and intense, with good depth. The tannins are tight, silky and firm. It undergoes a classic aging phase with 24 months in botte grande. The finish is soft, silky and glossy. Some 37,000 bottles were made.

Barolo. Tasted blind. Dark ruby with orange tinges. Quite a bit of concentration on the nose. Aromatic cherry fruit with bags of coating tannins. Supple, long and chewy. A delight. (WS)
