Tasting notes
Good medium red. Sexy aromas of black cherry, mocha and cola. Sweet, rather elegant village wine with captivating pepper-and-spice lift to its bright red and darker fruit flavors. Has the concentration to support its chewy, toothcoating tannins. (The Confuron-Cotetidot 2010s did not arrive in the Northeast in time for this report, so I have included notes on the estate's 2009s, which were similarly late last year.)

(14% alcohol) Bright ruby-red. Crushed blackberry, kirsch and pepper on the nose. Concentrated, dense and chocolatey; intensely flavored but very ripe and not yet showing much nuance. A strong kirsch flavor dominates. The tannins are rather fine but I find this wine a bit anonymous.
