Cask sample. Superbly precise red fruit character with a pleasant if brief floral fragrance. Attractive, gastronomic tannic feel – deserves a good plate of cassoulet or the like. (RH)

Ruby-red; a bit less saturated than the Vosne-Romanée. Less floral on the nose as well, offering scents of blackberry, black cherry and menthol. Then fatter and sweeter in the mouth but without the complexity of the Vosne villages . Not quite as juicy but with no shortage of acidity. A bit clenched today, finishing with serious tannins but no hardness. Classically dry for all its richness, this village wine really saturates the tongue.
