Tasting notes
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru comes across quite closed on the nose. It is well defined but very tight, just a touch of reduction that bottle age should address. The palate is well balanced with a sappy, saline entry. Good intensity here, fresh and citrusy with orange rind notes surfacing towards the finish. Very fine. Give it another couple of years however.

Baking spice, white peach, lime and flint. Crisp and flinty, with a creamy, flinty, perfumed finish. (TJ)
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru, matured in 30% new oak, has a more Meursault-inspired bouquet that develops hints of hazelnut and nutmeg in the glass. The palate is very harmonious and precise, that nuttiness more subtle in the mouth than on the nose, and it unveils more salinity on the long finish. Delicious... and classy.
A ripe style for Chassagne, fleshy nose. The palate shows a nice chalky texture and a limey citrus acidity. Attractive and quite a long focused finish. (AC)
