Good deep red-ruby. Superripe aromas of dark raspberry, roast coffee and gunflint. Silky and lush but with a firm spine of minerality underneath. Pliant but not especially sweet, and not really revealing itself yet. Finishes with a strong smoky minerality. This will need patience.

Bright red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of blackberry, violet, minerals and spices. Delicate and lacy, with sharply delineated but reticent dark fruit and mineral flavors. Penetrating, classy wine if youthfully closed today. Stands out in this line-up for its finesse and refinement.
