Score 96/100 · Drink 2025-2050, Neal Martin, Jan 2022
The 2017 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a wonderful bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, potpourri, wilted rose petal and a subtle sous-bois scent. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, quite strict and linear, and fresh but a little introverted toward the finish. But there is nobility here, and it should give long-term pleasure. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.
