The 2020 Romanée Saint-Vivant Grand Cru is sensual and beautifully layered, but like all the wines in this tasting, it is deeply marked by the year's style. It's an unusually rich, explosive Romanée Saint-Vivant, that much is obvious. Dark red cherry, plum, mocha and licorice all meld together seamlessly. The Romanée Saint-Vivant is usually a contemplative wine. The 2020, though, well, it is definitely an extrovert. - Antonio Galloni
