Score 88/100 · Drink 2020-2028, Neal Martin, Jul 2018
The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Village feels a little reduced on the nose, not as expressive as Boursot’s other 2016s at this stage. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, quite sturdy in style, more Morey-Saint-Denis perhaps with a gentle but insistent grip towards the finish. It feels just a tad “chunky” at the moment and needs to forage more finesse in bottle.
