Tasting notes
The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Village comes from the upper sectors of the vineyard and is completely de-stemmed. It has an attractive nose with dark berry fruit, loam and light seaweed scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very smooth, creamy textured and seductive with a plummy, sensual finish. Not bad, though chasing the tail of Lambray's other 2021s.

From holdings above the Clos des Lambrays, the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Village offers up aromas of dark berries and coniferous forest floor, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and fleshy palate, concluding with a saline, slightly earthy finish.
Young vines from the Clos des Lambrays (0.8 ha/2 acres) and a second parcel in En la Rue de Vergy vineyard. Both harvested late. Shallow soils in both and naturally low yields, at 22 hl/ha. Cask sample. Mid ruby. Red and black cherries. Raspberry. Firm structure. Spice. Tender but quite energetic. (MH)
