Tasting notes
Deep copper-inflected gold, the 2006 Cuvée Alexandra is totally different to the 2007 – much more open, expressive and approachable. Vivid aromas of raspberry, lemon curd, violet and rose, along with a flinty mineral note, soar from the glass. The pretty nose leads on to a juicy palate, with bright redcurrant adding bite to the wild strawberry and raspberry fruit. It’s delicate, yet there’s a mouthwatering, saline freshness to the long finish. Irresistible. These magnums were disgorged in October 2022 (the team feels the wine needs additional time post-disgorgement to be ready for release).

The 2006 Rosé Cuvée Alexandra (magnum) captures all the natural richness of this solar vintage. If anything, the 2006 is still very young and in need of more time! It's a powerful, decidedly explosive Champagne packed with fruit and structure to match. Sweet wild cherry, crushed flowers, rose petal and exotic spice tones soar through to the intense, palate-staining finish. Dosage is 6 grams per liter.
