Tasting notes
Gentle mint accents weave in and out of Guigal's cherry and blueberry-scented 2020 Crozes Hermitage. Framed by delicate, silky tannins, it's a medium-bodied, cheerful, fun Syrah to drink over the near term.

The 2020 Crozes-Hermitage offers an inviting profile. Spicy subtleties waft from the glass, followed by glossy red fruits and earth. Polished tannins add gentle structure to the seamless palate, which wraps up with a refreshing finish.
Now from bottle, the 2020 Crozes-Hermitage showed nicely, with the juicy, forward, elegant style of the vintage. Ripe blackberries, game, violets, and hints of pepper all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, has a pretty, silky, elegant mouthfeel, soft tannins, and a great finish. It's a classic, balanced, incredibly satisfying Crozes Hermitage to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years.
100% Syrah. Aged 50% in cuve, 50% in foudre. Cask sample. Deep colour. Plush and gourmand, the generous fruit very much to the fore. Some sweetness on the mid palate then comes together on the finish. Perhaps lacks a little freshness. (JL)
