More open for inspection than the corresponding Chambertin, Perrot-Minot's 2019 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru delivers a rich bouquet of cherries, plums, sweet spices, espresso roast and rose petal. Full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's ample and concentrated, with powdery tannins and lively acids.

Non-domaine wine. Cask sample. Lots of lift and subtlety. Then rich and sweet and actually rather transparent on the palate. Positively hums. Livelier than the Chambertin with more lift. Positively vibratoire ! (JR)
