The 2023 Riesling Schloss Johannisberg Gelblack was picked across the Johannisberg. It was made 90% in stainless steel and 10% in large barrel. Alluring notions of lime peel, pale lemon zest and citrus foliage are immediately enticing on the nose. This ripples across the tongue like a clear, cold little brook, flavored with juiciest ripe lemon, white peach and Reine Claude plum. Clarity, tension and lovely lime tanginess make this most enticing and totally lip-smacking. (Dry)
This beautiful dry Rheingau riesling has complex aromas of yellow peaches, grapefruit, kiwis and red gooseberries with a hint of orange blossoms that delights and teases. Remarkable concentration and vitality for an entry-level wine. Very long, structured and complete finish that is simultaneously ripe, cool and properly dry. From organically grown grapes.
