Tasting notes
The 2020 Tournefeuille offers aromas of black cherry, graphite, spice, black pepper and green pepper, followed by a medium to full-bodied texture on the palate and rich, structured tannins as well as a sappy finish. This is an exuberant wine, made to be enjoyed over the next decade.

Even though the wine needs to better integrate with its oak, the supple, creamy-textured, luscious, red and black fruits, licorice, Indian spice and chocolate on the nose and palate hit everything just right. Drink from 2023-2038.
The 2020 Tournefeuille has a composed bouquet with blackberry, boysenberry and touches of wild mint. This unfolds with confidence in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet plummy fruit, sea salt and touches of dark chocolate, especially towards the finish. Give this 4-5 years in bottle.
The 2020 Tournefeuille is a very good wine. Ripe red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint, mocha and spice all race out of the glass, beautifully lifted by the 30% Cabernet Franc in the blend. This savory, layered Lalande de Pomerol has a ton of character. There is a bit of edginess in the tannin, but that is a relatively small critique for a wine that has so much to offer.
