Tasting notes
The 2019 Tournefeuille exhibits a dense, complex bouquet with aromas of dark berries, cassis, blueberries, violet, iris and spring flowers. Beautifully balanced, on the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and layered, with structuring tannins and a slight touch of green pepper in the finish. A bit oaky but without overdoing it.

Medium-bodied, soft, vibrant, silky, and fresh, the sweet, ripe plums and cherries are made even better with their truffle, spice, and espresso accents. The soft, silky, fresh palate leaves you with loads of earthy red fruits with a lingering chocolate note in the plummy finish. This is already showing really nicely. Drink from 2023-2033.
The 2019 Tournefeuille has a pretty nose of black cherry and pencil shavings, quite Left Bank in style thanks to the 32% Cabernet Franc. The palate is medium-bodied and just a little raw on the entry, showing moderate depth and touches of bell pepper toward the slightly hard finish.
The 2019 Tournefeuille is a very pretty and elegant Lalande de Pomerol. Crushed flowers, spice, mint, cedar, new leather and tobacco all grace this mid-weight wine. The 2019 is understated and beautifully perfumed from start to finish. Drink it over the next decade or so.
