Sweet cappuccino notes on the nose. A bit lacking drive.

The 2014 Nuits St Georges les Lavières was showing just a touch of reduction when I tasted it from cask, though there appeared to be plenty of black fruit underneath. The palate is rounded in the mouth with supple tannin, blueberry and blackcurrant fruit here with a touch of spice, quite dense and assertive towards the finish that perhaps just needs a little more complexity.
