Score 91-93/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2024
Offering up aromas of plums and red berries mingled with notions of smoke, orange peel and peonies, the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots is medium to full-bodied, velvety and supple, with a suave, enveloping, charming profile, its succulent core of fruit framed by powdery tannins.

1.5 ha (3.7 acres) divided in two parcels, 60 and 65 years old. Easterly aspect. Racked one week before. Cask sample. Deep, bright dark ruby. Dark red cherries and a touch of mulberry and blueberry. Fresh rather than racy acidity. It’s all quite understated and medium-bodied; tannins are very soft and integrated. (MH)
