Tasting notes
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet, a little backward at first, just a faint touch of reduction but real weight and intensity here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite fresh and lithe but I am just seeking a little more amplitude and swagger on the finish compared to the Les Suchots. This had been recently racked which might explain its strictness at the moment, so my score is indicative of how I expect it will show once opened up.
