Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2025-2030, Matthew Hayes, jancisrobinson.com, May 2023

Two parcels in the northern sector of Gevrey, ‘en Champs’ and ‘en Villages’. 10% whole bunch (Eyre suggests the Côte de Nuits achieved greater ripeness than the Côte de Beaune in 2021), seven barrels, one new. Mid-pale ruby. Ripe red fruits, cherries and strawberries. Some savoury chewiness to the fruit on the palate. Volume and structure, with fuller tannins than previous (Côte de Beaune) wines; ripe and just a little feisty toughness on the finish. (MH)

Pale crimson and very smooth and gentle with a tiny bit of mossiness and real burgundy character. Already approachable! With very ripe tannins almost hidden under the subtle fruit. (JR)
